The Moorish building, built in the early twentieth century , takes its name from the Arabic style of architecture and auctions. Its role has changed greatly over the years, always related to port activity.
At present part of its dependencies host the headquarters of the Foundation PortCastelló while diaphanous and wider part is intended to public activities : art exhibitions , workshops , summer courses at the University Jaume I and presentations.
