The stretches of the wall that are still standing nowadays have been erected in the year 1837, during the first Carlist War. The most significant remains can be found in the square of “La Muralla Liberal”. Several vestiges have been found in the square of “Dolçainers de Tales” and in the site of the “Espai d`Art Contemporani”.
The Carlist Wall is listed as asset of Cultural Interest, and is registered in the National Heritage and Cultural Heritage of the Generalitat Valenciana.
